The rural school had the opportunity to undertake an Erasmus+ project to improve inclusive education, environmental sustainability, and digitalization. Participants appreciated the exchange of experiences with teachers from other countries. They gained theoretical knowledge and practical skills that they use daily. Education in digital tools and artificial intelligence was very beneficial, as was communication in English and learning about new cultures from the students' perspective.
The goal of the Erasmus+ project was to develop teachers' skills to improve inclusive education (specific activities that can be included in the teaching process), including all children in the educational process. Additionally, to provide teachers and students with new knowledge in the field of environmental sustainability and digitalization, which they would then pass on to students and parents. To support communication in English, learn about new cultures, and create international contacts for future cooperation.
Improving Inclusive Education - participants (teachers and students) applied the new theoretical knowledge and practical skills they gained, using them in more than 50% of their lessons (according to feedback and questionnaires). The exchange of experiences with teachers from other countries enriched their perspective on inclusion, with 92% marking this as the greatest benefit. Education in digital tools and artificial intelligence was also beneficial in the efficiency of lesson preparation, with 100% of participants using, applying, and sharing their knowledge further, not only among colleagues at school.
